Reverend Chris Warren is our pastor. Reverend Warren began his ministry as Pastor of the First Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Murfreesboro in June, 2013. Reverend Warren has a Master's Degree in Divinity from the Vanderbilt Divinity School, a Master's Degree in Music from the University of Michigan, and a Bachelor's Degree in Music from the Blair School of Music at Vanderbilt University. He has served in many capacities in local congregations, at the presbytery, and General Assembly level for the Cumberland Presbyterian denomination. Reverend Warren is married to Reverend Joy Warren, and they have two wonderful children, Emma and Micah.
Reverend Joy Warren serves our church as Associate Pastor of Christian Education and Outreach.. She recently joined our staff to enhance the Christian Education department.In addition, she will work with various groups to develop an Outreach program for the church.
Rev. Joy Warren has a Masters of Divinity from Memphis Theological Seminary and a Bachelor of Arts in Theater from College of Charleston. She is a member of the Unification Task Force currently exploring unity between the Cumberland Presbyterian Church and the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in America. Joy has special interests in community building, Christian Ethics, and ritual in worship. She looks forward to learning more about the Murfreesboro communities and becoming involved in Murfreesboro Presbytery.
Trish Decker is our church secretary, running the day-to-day operations. She worked for the Tennessee Governor's School for the Arts at MTSU for many years. FCPC is proud to have her as our vital link with the Murfreesboro community.
Keith Brown is our Director of Music and keyboardist. He has provided his skills as our talented pianist and organist since 1999. Recently appointed Director of Music, he will advance our music program to incorporate his special blend of musical skills.His dedication to his responsibilities have aided our choir and the congregation in our worship experiences by providing us all with beautiful and reverential music each Sunday.
